| This class is for anyone
who has completed the Woodworking Fundamentals
class
or has the
basic handwork
skills necessary for fine woodworking.
In this class, you will learn to build a shaker side table using a combination of hand and power tools. This project covers many of the basic elements of furniture making. Legs will be cut with attention to grain orientation, and joining by mortise and tenon. Drawers are made with full and half-blind dovetails. The handle is made on the lathe. From rough lumber to hand plane finish; each student will experience the joy of making a classic design come to life one step at a time. |

An extended finishing class will be available in January 2012 for those students who wish to complete their tables in a class setting.
Power tools and joinery tools are available at the shop. Students are expected to have their own hand tools. Please discuss your tools and any planned purchase with the instructor prior to the class. Student discounts are available through dilegno woodshop supply
Tuition is $440, plus a materials fee estimated to be: $80 . The materials fee will be finalized at the end of class. The cost of cherry wood for the table is included in the materials fee. 12 four-hour sessions. Six students maximum.
A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Refundable until 30 days before the class.

In 2004, he was awarded the title "Master Woodworker" by the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and continues to study with some of the best woodworkers in North America. |
