Spokeshaves
Since 1997, Woodjoy Tools has been
manufacturing spokeshaves with an innovative blade adjustment feature located
at the top of our tools. Woodjoy’s positive lock fine thread adjustment system
is the quickest way to fine tune a spokeshave with precision. A simple hex key
permits adjustments and fine tuning of the blade orientation without blade
removal. The hex key has a notable advantage over hand tightening the blade in
that it only takes a tweak to lock the blade securely in place. The Woodjoy
system also eliminates the need for threaded posts or tangs on the blade; a
benefit you will appreciate when sharpening the blade.
Woodjoy's spokeshaves are provided with superior blades. The 2”,3” and 4” A2
steel spokeshave blades are a full 25% thicker than most others found in the
marketplace and the large 5” blade is 50% thicker. Thicker blades have the
same advantage found in hand planes outfitted with beefier blades, namely less
chatter and skip, finer shaving, and a smoother cut.
